About the Grants Program

Philanthropist and New York city mayor, Michael R. Bloomberg, launched the Bloomberg Initiative to Reduce Tobacco Use to combat tobacco use in low- and middle-income countries, where more than than two-thirds of the world's smokers lives.

With funds from the Bloomberg Initiative, the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids jointly manages a grants program with the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (the Union).  The program supports projects to develop and deliver high-impact, evidence-based tobacco control interventions.
