As part of the Bloomberg Initiative to Reduce Tobacco Use, the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids manages a grants program in conjunction with the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (the Union).
The grants program supports projects in low and middle-income countries to achieve policy change that will lead to substantial reductions in tobacco use. It gives priority to countries with the greatest number of tobacco users.
Round Four of the grants program is now open. Submission of project ideas is invited online at www.tobaccocontrolgrants.org. The deadline for submission of Project Ideas is 18:00h U.S. Eastern Daylight Time (GMT -4) on Wednesday 13 August 2008.
Proposals must focus on achieving policy change that will lead to substantial reductions in tobacco use.
